Today, several member states submitted the final versions of their recovery plans, including Germany and Greece. Portugal submitted it even earlier.
If the ratification procedures by which the Member States give the Commission the right to make borrowings to raise the necessary funds are completed by June, the first tranches amounting to 13% of the total amount can be paid as early as July. At least that’s what EC Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said. The deadlines are indicative, but the later a country is ready with its plan, the later it will receive the funds.
Which countries met the deadline – watch the coverage by Desislava Apostolova.
