The situation of women in Europe during a pandemic

On the eve of March 8, the International Women’s Day, the European Parliament put on the agenda the problems of women in the last year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic. Empowering women, achieving equality with men in both pay and employment opportunities, as well as sharing home care – these are some of the issues discussed at an online seminar and a meeting of the European Parliament initiated by the Commission, on women’s rights and equality.
